The recipe for the delicacy is: cup butter or margarine, cups sifted all-purpose flour, 3 tablespoons cold water (about), tablespoon crushed toasted almonds, tablespoon fine dry bread crumbs 4 cups thinly sliced tart apples, 2 eggs, 2 egg yolks, cups whipping cream, cup sugar, divided, 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted. Pour half of this mixture over Bake until firm (about hour) Pour in remaining mixture. Bake again until knife inserted near edge comes out clean (about hour). Remove pie from oven. Pour melted butter evenly over top. Sprinkle with remainling sugar.
