Portland, Maine, Evening Express, Friday, April 13, 1990 35. Fire and rescue calls Jeannette E. Bergeron ARUNDEL Jeannette E. Bergeron, 60, of Seacoast Trailer Park, died unexpectedly Wednesday at a Biddeford hospital. She was born at Wells, a daughter of William and Gertrude Matthews Card, and graduated from Wells High School.

She was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church. Mrs. 1 Bergeron was employed by Biddeford Journal Tribune and later by the Pepperell Manufacturing Co. for 20 years. Survivng are her husband, Jean Paul Bergeron; five sons, Victor Poisson and Mark Poisson, both of Saco, Michael Poisson of San Francisco, Dennis Poisson of Old Orchard Beach and Jeffrey Poisson of Biddeford; two stepsons, Robert Bergeron and Donald Bergeron, both of Biddeford; a daughter, Denise Dube of Biddeford; a stepdaughter, Claudette Bergeron of Biddeford; four brothers, William Card of Wells, Carroll Card and Kenneth Cart, both of Kennebunk, and Raymond Card of Scarborough; a sister, Patricia Card of Wells; and 15 grandchildren A funeral will be held at 9 a.m.

Monday at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home. Eleanor D.

Emery Wednesday at a Portland hospital. A lifelong local resident, she was a daughter of Walter and Harriett LeBeau Dowling, and graduated from Westbrook High School in 1925. For nearly 30 years Mrs. Emery worked at S.D. Warren retiring in 1972.

She was a past matron of Beulah Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the WestbrookWarren Congregational Church, the Westbrook Women's Club and the Westbrook Senior Citizens. Surviving are her husband, Selden W. Emery, and a brother, Walter L. Dowling of Portland. WESTBROOK Eleanor D.

Alley, 89, formerly of Glenwood Avenue, died Thursday local nursing home after a long illness. Born in Dracut, she was a daughter of Clarance Margaret Manning Richardson, and attended schools in Dracut and Lowell, Mass. Mrs. Alley moved here in 1923 and was a waitress at area restaurants. She was a member of Central Square Baptist Church the Cornerstone Chapter of hand Order of the Eastern Star.

Her husband, Fred Alley, died in 1980. A son, Earl L. Herbert, died in 1988. Surviving are four daughters, Dorothy Flaherty of Hollis, Barbara Moulton of Portland, Eleanor Burton of Pelham, N.H., and Ruth Murabito of Lawrence, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at noon Saturday at Hay and Peabody, 749 Congress Street.

Burial will follow in Brooklawn Memorial Park. Ethel W. Drouin Ethel W. Drouin, 93, of 83 Four Winds Road, died Wednesday at home after a long illness. Born in Brunswick, she was a daughter of Mason and Elizabeth Berry Watts, and attended Brunswick Schools.

Mrs. Drouin was until employed by Holmes-Stickney Co. retiring in 1942. She was a communicant at St. Joseph's Church and a member of the American Legion auxiliaries in Portland and Brunswick.

Her husband, Joseph E. Drouin, Jr. died in 1965. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland. Erma L. Hatch AUBURN Erma L. Hatch, 81, of 200 Stetson Road, died Thursday at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston. She was born in New Gloucester, a daughter of Barzilla and Ethel Gray Goff, and graduated from New Gloucester High School and Gorham Normal School.

She married Lewis R. Hatchh im 1932. She lived in North Yarmouth until moving to New Gloucester in 1967. Mr. Hatch died in 1984 and she moved here.

Mrs. Hatch taught special editcation at Pineland Hospital in New Gloucester and at public schools in Bridgton and New Gloucester, retiring in 1983. She was a member of North Yarmouth Congregational Church and New Gloucester Congregational Church. She was active in ladies" circles in both churches. She was a former member of the Gray Rebekahs, Grange, Yarmouth, and the North Yarmouth Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

A sister, Margaret Dunlap of Auburn, survives. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at New Glowcester Congregational Church. Arrangements are by Plummer and Merrill Funeral Home. Thomas L.

Stirling FALMOUTH Thomas L. Stirling, 86, of 79 Applegate Lane, died Thursday at a Portland hospital after a brief illness. Born in Wilmington, he was a son of James and Laura Scottt Stirling. He was a 1921 graduate of Wilmington Friends School and a 1925 graduate of Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. Mr.

Stirling was an executive in the paper industry for several firms, retiring to Maine in 1966. He was a member of the Portland Country Club. His first wife, Elizabeth Ranger Stirling, died in 1976, and his second wife, Mary Morrill Stirling, died in 1985. Surviving are a son, Thomas L. Jr.

of Honolulu; daughter, Kattherine Stirling Dow of Andover, two stepdaughters, Ann Strahan of Cumberland and Cattherine Wood of Woodstock, two Deaths elsewhere Fortune Gordien, discus FONTANA, Calif. (AP) Fortune Gordien, a three time Olympic discus thrower and former world record holder, died Tuesday following a lengthy illness alt age 67. Gordien held the world discus throwing record from 1949 to 1959, but never won an Olympic gold medal. He was born on Peaks Island, a som of Arthur and Elsie Leeman Bracket. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Portland High School. Mr. Brackett was a service manager for Hansen Chrysler-Plymouth Co. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

His wife, Edna R. Drew Brackettt, died in 1989. Surviving are a daughter, Carole Bouchard of Portland; a sister, Virginia Brackett of Brunswick; two granddaughters and four greatgrandchildren. A graveside service will be held alt 1 p.m. Saturday at Brooklawn Memorial Park.

The Rev. Roger Nichols will officiate. Arrangements are by Hay and Peabody.Philip K. Bodge ANDOVER, Mass. Philip Kendalll Bodge, 66, of 44 Henderson Ave, died Tuesday at the Lahey Clinic, Burlington.

He was born in Rochester, N.H. Mit. Bodge was an engineering consultant for Itek Corp. of Burlingtom. He was an Army first lieutenant during World War it.

He also was a private pilot. His wife, Donna M. Bowen Bodge, died in 1988. Surviving are three children, Carmen Goodman of Wilmington, Christopher of Andover, and Colin of Rowland Heights, two stepsons, Ronald Warner and Kenneth Warner, both of Tawas, Mich; his mother and stepfather, Stanley W. Wright St.

and Dorothy Wright of Windham, Maine; a sister, Paula Boulton of Clearwater, Fla; a half brother, Stanley W. Wright Jir. of Waterford, Maine; a grandson and four step-grandchildrem. Cremation will! take place at Linwood Crematory, Haverhill. A memorial service will be held alt 2 p.m.
