Tdinner time for a table at the Last Unicorn ongilver Street may soon be only a memory The restaurant is undergoing renovations that will double seating accommodations say owners Rick Gallup and Honor Stanley The restaurant owners recently purchased the former Greyhound bus station office which lies adjacent to the eatery and are taking over the property to expand the dining area and kitchen Workers have already broken through the walls and the two buildings will be joined by an Business news archway said Gallup The facade of both buildings will be redone and the main entrance will be relocated to the former bus station The new dining section will be decorated with black granite tables purple and and tur quoise carpeting and art deco style etched glass The restaurant will also have a non smoking section Gallup said the expansion was prompted by the customers asked us to said Gallup were turning away The eight year old restaurant will also be expanding its menu New selections will in clude appetizers such as pate smoked salmon and fresh crabmeat Various salads and three or four specials for lunch and dinner will also be added to the res fare Prices will increase on certain items not on said Gallup The restaurant will close for seven to 10 days in September for the Renovations to be completed and it is expected to reopen at the end of September Part of the reconstruction of down town Silver Street calls for a widened sidewalk in front of the restaurant and Gallup said out door seating is planned for next summer Thomas names new dean of admissions Dr Richard Begin dean of Thomas College has an nounced the appointment of John MB dean of ad missions A de an Craig will be respon sible for tl devel opment of an effec tive and ef i ci ent admissions program as well as the marketing of the Thomas College undergraduate programs and services Having received his bache lor of arts degree from South ern Connecticut State University in 1970 and his mas ter of arts from Ball State Uni versity in 1971 Craig went on to earn his doctor of education from Columbia University in 1983 Since 1970 Craig has been involved professionally in a col legiate setting as a dean for
