Corbin, 54, of HallowellLitchfield Road, beloved husband, father and Pappy, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 3, 2005, at Stevens Memorial Hospital in Norway. Vern was born Aug.

6, 1950, in Bingham, the son of Gerald and Arlene Brochu Corbin. Vern attended Bingham and Waterville schools and received his General Educational Development diploma in 1968. Vern often said that had circumstances been different, he would have made a career of the military. He loved every minute he spent in the Navy and often talked of his experiences. He was one of the few people who had the opportunity of flying off an aircraft carrier. While Vern was in the Navy, he spent much of his time in the "para" loft. This is where he learned to sew, an art that was responsible for creating Corbin Canvas.

Vern and Pamela started their little backyard business in 1978, and up until just the other day it was still producing some of the best boat canvas around. Many of Vern's customers will miss his craftsmanship. Vern leaves behind his wife and best friend, Pamela; his two sons, Corey and his partner, Steve, and Chris and his wife, Angela; and his beloved "Little People," Cam, Carley and Ava. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law; his brother-in-law; sister; two brothers; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and Mitty, his special yellow cat. Not too many people knew this, but Vern had a special place in his heart for many friends and neighbors.

Vern: was not a man of many, words, but what he said was from his heart. When he said "good luck," it was sincere, es-. pecially to Johnny. My darling Vern, I know you were a pri-: vate person, and I hope you won't be upset with me for ing this. But I want the world to.
